Description

Manor Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with alterations and heightening made in the mid-18th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone and features slate roofs. The building has two storeys and three bays, with the first bay serving as an outbuilding, while the last two bays are recessed and lower, likely originally part of the outbuilding. The layout follows a central entrance plan, with coped gables and kneelers.

On the ground floor, there are three-light windows with recessed mullions, while the first-floor windows are sashed with vertical glazing bars. The last two bays contain two casements in the first bay, one located in what was formerly the entrance, and two casements on the first floor. The entrance features a sunk ogee lintel and an eight-panel door, which has two flush panels, the rest fielded, with the top pair having arched heads, strap hinges, and the original latch. Above the entrance is a datestone inscribed with "EBB/1730/AB" and a sundial added by R. Burrow in 1758.

To the left, there is a segmental-headed entrance to the outbuilding and an entrance to the end bay. The house has three gable-end stacks, and the rear includes some mullioned windows. Inside, there is a room with fielded dado panelling, a stone fireplace, and beams with cornices. The rear room features a stone fireplace with a fluted key and stone shelves. The staircase has square newels, column balusters, and a moulded handrail. There are several six-panel doors and one eight-panel door throughout the house.
