Description
7 and 8 The Green are a pair of semi-detached houses built in the late 19th century. They are constructed from limestone and slate rubble, topped with a graduated slate roof. Each house is two stories tall and features a gabled porch on the outer side, with a single window on each floor. The rear of the houses has wings. The buildings have large quoins and the porches contain tall two-pane casements, with square-headed doorways leading to the interior returns. The six-pane sash windows have projecting sills and quoined surrounds, while the first-floor windows are set in gabled half-dormers. The roof is half-hipped with a central ridge stack. These houses are included for their group value.
