Description

The listed buildings consist of two houses, one of which is now an outbuilding. They likely date from the late 17th century and have undergone alterations since. The cottages are constructed of roughcast stone with a slate roof. The main house is two storeys and originally four bays wide, with a fourth bay added later. The second bay of the ground floor features four-light, single-chamfered-mullioned windows with a decorative label mould. The first bay of the ground floor and the first three bays of the first floor have dilapidated sash windows with vertical glazing bars; the fourth bay also has a label mould. Entrances are located in the second and third bays, and the fourth bay has a through passage with a flat arch. A small-paned window looks onto this passage. A single, cross-axial chimney stack remains. The rear of the building incorporates an inhabited wing with casement windows, and one small-paned window. Inside, there are chamfered beams, and one fireplace has a corbelled lintel.
