Description

Bongate Mill is an 18th-century building constructed of stone rubble and covered in stucco. It stands three storeys high and features a hipped roof. The upper storey has three square windows, while the middle storey contains seven windows, three of which have semi-circular relieving arches. The ground storey also has two windows with similar arches, along with a door. The river-facing side of the mill mirrors this design, with three windows and a door on the ground floor. A large sandstone arch remains where the mill wheel was once located, although the wheel itself has been removed.
