Description

Nos. 37 and 39 Bongate are 18th-century buildings located in Appleby in Westmorland. They are constructed of stone, with a stuccoed and white-washed finish, and feature graded slates on the roof. The buildings stand two storeys high and have three dormers on the roof. The front has three doors with modern porches, five windows on the ground floor, and six windows above. Of the upper windows, three are 16-paned sashes, four are shallow oriels, and the remaining windows are casements. There is a tethering ring on the front wall.
