Description

The barn west of Dovenby Mill is a mid-19th century structure built from calciferous sandstone rubble, featuring flush quoins and a graduated greenslate roof with gable bargeboards. It stands 2½ storeys high and comprises five bays. The barn has a central elliptical carriage arch, flanked by plank doors, and includes a central loft doorway along with slit vents on two levels. This building is listed for its group value with Dovenby Mill House.
