Description

The Trough House is a farmhouse, now a private residence, dating to 1711 as indicated by the inscription over the entrance. It is built with painted roughcast walls, featuring a string course, eaves cornice, V-jointed quoins, and a chamfered plinth. The roof is of graduated greenslate, with a coped gable and kneelers, and there are large rendered chimney stacks. A 20th-century door and overlight are set within a painted stone architrave. The windows are sash windows in painted stone architraves. An adjoining barn is not considered to be of significance.
