Description

Dovenby Mill House is a house dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of calciferous sandstone rubble, featuring rock-faced red sandstone quoins and dressings, and is topped with a graduated greenslate roof. The house has two storeys and three bays. The entrance includes a 20th-century door set in a chamfered surround, which is topped by a hoodmould. The windows are two-light, with chamfered stone mullions, also under hoodmoulds.
