Description
Downy Field House is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble, rendered at the front, and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with projecting quoins. The first-floor windows are modern and have glazing bars with plain stone surrounds. The ground floor is covered by a slated verandah that includes some iron trellis-work at the front. There are wide French windows with plain reveals on the ground floor, and the central bay contains a door with a plain stone surround. The house also has gable chimneys.
