Description
North Farmhouse is a house built in 1674 that has been altered. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and has a slate roof. The building has a 2-cell plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, featuring three bays. The windows are sashed and have rock-faced stone surrounds. On the left side, there is a one-light fire window that is rebated and chamfered. The central bay contains a door with a chamfered surround and a shaped lintel that is inscribed with "RH EH TH 1674". There are chimneys at both ends of the house. A change in the stonework indicates that the eaves have been raised, likely when the original thatch roof was replaced with slate. The right-hand gable wall features two chamfered attic windows, a blocked first-floor window, and an altered window with a rebated and chamfered surround.
