Description

Glebe Farmhouse is a late 17th-century house located on Main Street in Overton. It is built of rendered rubble and has a steeply pitched slate roof. The original house comprised two main sections. It is two storeys high with three bays. The windows have rebated and chamfered mullions, with four lights in each except for the central first-floor window. A drip course runs above the centrally positioned door, which has a cyma-moulded surround with a triangular head. The gables are finished with copings and kneelers, and the house has gable chimneys. A return wall on the left-hand side features a single-light chamfered window on the first floor and two similar windows in the attic. Inside the left-hand room, there are two main chamfered ceiling joists, one of which may have once been a firehood bressumer.
