Description

This is a bank barn located to the northeast of High House, inscribed and dated on a panel above the dovecote to William and Hannah Fox, 1810. The barn is constructed of coursed, squared rubble with quoins, while the additions are made of snecked rubble. It features a graduated slate roof with a stone ridge, copings, and kneelers.

On the south elevation, which faces the farmyard, there is a byre door and a fixed window to the right. Above the lintel, there is a low-relief head and a Greek inscription set into the wall. The central wagon door has an elliptical head, with a byre door to the left. Above this, there is a winnowing door, and to the left are dovecote openings arranged in four rows of eight. The barn also has ventilation slits at the eaves and a circular owl-hole on the east return.

At the center rear, there is a threshing floor wagon door under a porch. The door opens into storage outshuts on either side, with a byre door below the right-hand store.
