Description

Nos 78 and 79 on Lowther Street are mid-18th century buildings that have been stuccoed and rise three storeys. They feature a moulded cornice and an old slate roof. No 78 has a shop front on the ground floor and two windows on each upper floor. No 79 has a moulded doorcase with a cornice supported by consoles, leading up four steps with an iron railing, and a yard entrance to the right; it has six windows on the upper floors set in moulded frames. These buildings, along with Nos 78 to 83 and No 1, form a group.
