Description
No. 112 on Scotch Street is a house and shop built in the late 18th century, with alterations likely made in the mid to late 19th century. The building is constructed of stone, rendered, and topped with a natural slate roof. It features a single room double depth plan and stands three storeys tall with two windows.
The ground floor has a doorway on the left, which is part of a mid to late 19th-century shop front that includes large plate glass windows. On the first floor, there are two tall sash windows with glazing bars set in plain surrounds. The second floor features two smaller sash windows similar to those below, positioned on a cill band. A large projecting cornice and parapet, likely also from the 19th century, add to the building's character. The roof is single span with stacks located to the right on both slopes. Inside, the layout remains conventional, featuring a dog leg stair.
