Description

Nos 61 and 62 on Friar Gate are mid-18th century buildings constructed of red brick. They rise three storeys and each features three sash windows. No 61 has a stucco doorcase adorned with a pediment and fanlight, while No 62 boasts an early 19th-century reeded doorcase with a plain weather hood supported by brackets. Both buildings have a modillion eaves cornice and are topped with old tiles. They are part of a group that includes Nos 60A, 61 to 67, Chestnut House, and Nos 66A and 67A.
