Description

64 Friar Gate is a mid-18th century building constructed of red brick. It stands three storeys high and features four sash windows, with only the windows on the second storey having glazing bars. The first floor has plain keyblocks and a sill band. The ground storey has a modern bay window, and the doorcase is plain, with a small frieze and cornice, a rectangular fanlight, and a modern door. The building is topped with a moulded eaves cornice and a small parapet. It is part of a group that includes Nos 60A, 61 to 67, Chestnut House, and Nos 66A and 67A.
