Description

This is a detached house, dating to around 1840. The building is constructed of stucco and features two storeys. The front facade has three sash windows, each fitted with Venetian shutters. A slight central projection is visible, and a sill band runs along the first storey. A plain pilaster porch shelters the doorway, which has a rectangular fanlight above a four-panelled door. The eaves are emphasised by a bold lining, and the roof is covered with slate and has a hipped profile. The house forms a group with numbers 1 to 11 Vernon Street.
