Description

No. 13 Vernon Street is a building dating from around 1840. It is constructed of stucco and has two storeys with three sash windows. The central window section projects slightly forward and features an attractive cast iron trellis porch, a doorway with a rectangular fanlight, and a six-panelled door. The cornice and first-storey sill band extend continuously from No. 12 to the south, and the building is adorned with pilasters that have a Greek Key pattern ornament. The eaves are boldly lined, and the roof is hipped and covered with slate. Nos. 12 to 18 Vernon Street form a group with No. 16 South Street and No. 29 York Street.
