Description
14 The Square is a former public house that later served as a library, built in the late 18th century. The building features painted stucco on a squared painted plinth and has a sandstone slate roof with upper courses of Welsh slates. It has a coped gable with a kneeler to the right and stucco and brick chimney stacks. The structure is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The entrance has double 20th-century panelled doors set in a plain painted stone surround. The upper floor has sash windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor also has similar windows, although some glazing bars have been partly removed. All windows are framed in painted stone surrounds.
