Description
Breconhill is a farmhouse dated 1663, featuring the initials EAA on the lintel, with late 18th century alterations. The building has rendered walls, stone dressings, and a Welsh slate roof, along with yellow brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys tall and was probably originally three bays, but has been extended by two bays on the left under a common roof. The 20th century door has a chamfered surround with a pointed head and a dated and initialled lintel. Former windows have all been enlarged in the late 18th century and are primarily two-pane sashes, except for one window with glazing bars, all featuring plain painted stone surrounds. The width of the farmhouse has increased due to the extension at the rear. Despite the many alterations, the door surround remains as originally built and is considered early for buildings in this area.
