Description

Laurel House is a club that was originally built as a house in the 1830s to 1840s. It is constructed from calciferous sandstone and features a moulded cornice and blocking course, with incised stucco on the sides and a graduated slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. It includes a prostyle Ionic porch that has a moulded entablature and a dentilled cornice. The entrance features an 8-panel door with a patterned fanlight and a pilastered surround. The windows are 2-pane sashes with moulded surrounds.
