Description

Pinquay's is a farmhouse, now a private house, dating from 1689. The initials I. & M.B. are carved on a reused lintel over the garden wall entrance, originally from the house, and alterations likely occurred around 1756, as evidenced by the date on the outbuildings. The building has cement-rendered walls over sandstone rubble, set on projecting plinth stones, and a Welsh slate roof with coped gables and kneelers. The chimney stacks are of brick, likely from the 20th century. The house is two stories and five bays wide, with a top-glazed five-panel door in a cement-rendered surround, and a cement-rendered, pilastered porch with a triangular pediment. Windows are casements in mid-18th century painted stone architraves. A contemporary outshut to the rear retains original small, chamfered-surround openings.
