Description
The former stables located to the southeast of Hawkesdale Hall date from the early 18th century. They are constructed of whitewashed sandstone rubble and feature a sandstone slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays. A large central carriage entrance, with plank doors set in a quoined surround, is topped by a segmental arch. There are flanking entrances, with the one on the right now converted to a window, both also in quoined surrounds. The stables include two-light stone-mullioned casement windows with glazing bars, alongside smaller casement windows, all set in painted chamfered surrounds. The building is listed partly for its group value with Hawkesdale Hall.
