Description
Raughton Farmhouse is a late 18th century farmhouse featuring whitewashed sandstone rubble walls with raised painted quoins on a chamfered plinth. The roof is made of graduated greenslate and has coped gables with kneelers, along with ashlar chimney stacks and a brick stack on the right. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. The entrance consists of a four-panel top-glazed door beneath a patterned fanlight, all framed by a pilastered surround with a moulded cornice. On either side of the door are double sash windows in painted stone surrounds, while the other windows are sashes with glazing bars, also in painted stone surrounds. The left two bays have been altered with blocked openings, indicating that this section may have originally served as a barn. The outbuildings at the rear are not of interest.
