Description
Spa Villa is a house built in 1815 for Major Mounsey. It is constructed of whitewashed stone rubble and features raised quoins, topped with a graduated hipped green slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of six bays, with a two-storey extension of two bays to the right that has a lower roof line. The former entrance porch, which had a segmental open pediment, has been replaced with a sash window that has glazing bars in a plain painted stone surround. The original sash windows throughout the house also have glazing bars and are set in plain painted stone surrounds. The extension includes segmental-arched openings on the ground floor, with sash windows featuring glazing bars above.
