Description
Milestone located outside of Eller Ridge Cottage, dating from the early 19th century, was created for the Cockermouth-Workington Turnpike. It is made of whitewashed stone with a rounded top and features an inscription on the front that reads "COCKERMOUTH 2 MILES, WORKINGTON 6." There is an Ordnance Survey bench mark beneath the lettering.
