Description

The wall and gate piers at the entrance to The Old Vicarage were built in the early 19th century. They are made of calciferous sandstone rubble for the wall and ashlar for the piers. The wall is low and has a serpentine shape with saddle-back coping. The square piers are rusticated and topped with pyramidal caps. This structure is listed for its group value with The Old Vicarage.
