Description
Beech House is a late 18th-century farmhouse with adjoining outbuildings located in Dalston. The main house is constructed of coursed red sandstone set on a chamfered plinth, with V-jointed calciferous sandstone quoins. It has a graduated greenslate roof with coped gables and kneelers, and 19th-century brick chimney stacks. The outbuildings are of mixed sandstone rubble with walls and a Welsh slate roof, the lower courses of which are partly of sandstone slate.
The house is two storeys and three bays wide. The outbuildings form an L-shape to the left. A top-glazed six-panel door is set within a stone surround. The windows are single-pane double sash windows, also in stone surrounds. The outbuildings feature slit vents and plank doors.
