Description
Low House is a house built between 1800 and 1811 for John Graham, with mid-19th century wings added later. It features rendered sandstone walls and a graduated slate roof, along with rendered chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has five bays, flanked by two-storey single bay wings. There is a chamfered plinth course and raised quoins on both the house and the wings, with coped gables and kneelers on the house, while the wings have hipped roofs. The portico is supported by Corinthian columns and has a moulded and ornamented entablature, with a 20th-century door. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are surrounded by plain surrounds. There are Victorian outbuildings at the rear, but these are not included in the listing.
