Description
Drybeck Viaduct is a railway viaduct built in 1875 by engineer J.S. Crossley for the Settle-Carlisle line of the Midland Railway. It features rock-faced red sandstone masonry with brick soffits to the arches. The structure has seven arches, each with a span of 45 feet, supported by tall battered piers that include imposts and a continuous band at track level. The viaduct has solid parapets and remains in unaltered condition, situated in a very attractive location.
