Description
Tracentree Low House is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in 1742, as indicated by an inscription above the entrance. The building features whitewashed render over mixed sandstone rubble and has a graduated sandstone slate roof with brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with an additional bay above an arch to the right, all under a common roof.
The entrance includes a plank door set in a chamfered surround to the right, with a loft door above it. The ground floor has sash and casement windows with glazing bars, framed in 18th-century surrounds. There is a blocked central two-light window and another above the archway, along with two other windows with chamfered surrounds, although the stone mullions have been removed. Additionally, there is one blocked upper-floor fire window. At the time of the survey, the house was derelict and unoccupied.
