Description

Rosley House is a house dating from 1838, as inscribed above an internal rear doorway. It is built of painted stucco, featuring angle pilasters on a chamfered plinth. The roof is graduated greenslate with stone chimney stacks. The house is two storeys and originally four bays, with a lower single-bay extension to the left and rear, forming a T-shaped plan. The main entrance features a five-panel door beneath a patterned fanlight, sheltered by a tetrastyle fluted Doric porch. Sash windows are set within painted stone surrounds. Inside, the hall has two fluted Doric columns. The group value of Rosley House stems from its well-preserved 19th-century character and detailing.
