Description
The stables west of Eden Steads were built in the early 19th century. They feature walls made of Flemish bond brick and a graduated slate roof. The structure is single storey, with a two-storey entrance tower. The tower includes a rounded archway made of ashlar with V-shaped joints and a shaped keystone, along with plank half-gates. There is a string course and a round-headed recessed brick panel, topped with a hipped roof and a shaped stone pinnacle. The stables to the right have plank doors and round and diamond-shaped brick vents. The listing does not include the left extension at right angles, which has 20th-century garage doors. The stables are included partly for their group value with Eden Steads.
