Description
The barn and byres adjoining to the northeast of Pinquay's were built in 1756, with an extension added in the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are constructed from red sandstone random rubble and feature a sandstone slate roof. The buildings are arranged in a U-shape, enclosing a farmyard on three sides, and are lower two-storey structures located to the right of the former farmhouse.
The nearest house has a top-glazed panelled door set in a recessed painted stone architrave, which is framed by an outer rusticated surround with a keyed round arch. To the right of this door, there is a 2-pane sash window in a painted stone surround. A projecting cart entrance is also located to the right, featuring plank doors.
The right-angle barn and byres include plank doors, one of which has a dated lintel, along with slit vents and loft entrances above. A further right-angle byre completes the U-shape and shares similar architectural details. The barns located at the rear are noted to be of no particular interest.
