Description

Limes Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse with alterations, dated and inscribed over the entrance as J & J.W. 1730. It is joined to an adjoining barn under a common roof. The farmhouse is constructed of whitewashed clay walls, repaired and raised with stone, and has a graduated greenslate roof with a brick chimney stack. It is two storeys high and has two bays. The cross-passage entrance is defined by a rebated chamfered surround under a shaped dated lintel. Sash windows with glazing bars are set within painted stone surrounds, with a double sash window to the left of the entrance. The barn has an enlarged garage entrance.
