Description

Lock Number 18 is an early 19th-century lock on the Grand Union Canal, which was restored in 1866, 1870, and 1913. It is constructed from red and blue brick and features timber swing gates. This double-width lock has both double upper and lower gates, as well as side pounds. It is part of a flight of seven locks.
