Description

Lock Number 20, known as Stoke Bottom Lock, is an early 19th-century structure that was restored in 1870 and again in the 20th century. It is constructed from red and blue brick and features timber swing gates. This double-width lock has both upper and lower double gates, as well as side pounds. It is the bottom lock in a flight of seven locks on the Grand Union Canal in Stoke Bruerne.
