Description
This is a wall from the late 19th century, constructed of limestone ashlar. It features nine bays and separates the terrace from the former kitchen garden. The wall includes seven round-arched niches made of ironstone, each with console keyblocks, and these are separated by Ionic pilasters also made of ironstone. At the left end, there is a doorway with a moulded ironstone surround. The right end of the wall has a large round-arched garden alcove made of ironstone, positioned in the higher section of the wall and flanked by ironstone piers.
