Description
Colledges House is a 17th-century house constructed from coursed ironstone rubble with a thatched roof and brick stacks. The building has two storeys and features four bays. The central doorway has a wooden lintel and a 20th-century door. To the right, there is a 19th-century canted bay window, while to the left, there is a 20th-century bay window. The first floor has two- and three-light casement windows with wooden lintels. The gable ends are coped and have kneelers. At the rear, there are two two-light stone-mullioned windows with moulded stone surrounds.
The interior has been remodelled in the 20th century and includes chamfered spine beams. There is an extension to the right, which is said to be a former outbuilding, likely from the early 19th century, that was remodelled as part of the main dwelling in the 20th century. This extension is also made of coursed ironstone rubble, with the first floor rendered. It has a nogged brick cornice and a slate roof, with two storeys and two bays featuring 20th-century doorways and casement windows with wooden lintels.
