Description

This is a manor house, likely dating from the 16th century, with significant remodelling in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, with an old tile roof and stone stacks. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with four bays, the two right bays being slightly higher. A doorway in the third bay from the left has a wooden lintel and a six-panel door, and a small, blocked stone window sits to its left. Three-light casement windows, also with wooden lintels, are found in the left bay and the second bay from the left. Two similar two-light windows are positioned to the right. Small two-light casement windows are above in the right bay on the first floor. Above the entrance is a two-light window with a wooden lintel and an old iron casement. A sixteen-pane sash window, also with a wooden lintel, is located to the left of the entrance, and a blocked stone window is found in the left bay. A 19th and 20th-century casement window is situated at the rear. A projecting stack is situated on the left side, and has been partly rebuilt, flanked by two small, blocked stone windows, which give access to the attic. The date 1(5?)67 is carved into a stone window sill at ground floor level at the rear. The interior was remodelled in the 19th century.
