Description
This is an early 18th-century cottage located on Church Street in Helmdon. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, with some brick courses near the eaves. The roof is corrugated iron, and there are brick and stone end stacks. The cottage originally had a thatched roof. The building has a two-unit plan and is two stories high with a two-window front. A central four-panel door is set within a moulded wooden surround, topped by a stop-chamfered lintel which extends to the left, covering a three-light casement window. A similar window is positioned to the right of the door, and two-light casement windows are present on the first floor. All the windows have timber lintels. There is a single-storey extension to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
