Description
The Old Bake House and The Pump House is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a slate roof and brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and is two storeys tall with an attic, featuring a two-window range. The central entrance has a part-glazed door with a timber lintel and a hood supported by brackets. There are 16-pane horned sash windows on the ground and first floors, each with timber lintels, along with a small one-light window on the first floor to the right, also with a timber lintel. The gable end facing the street includes three-light casement windows on the ground, first, and attic floors, all featuring stop-chamfered timber lintels, as well as a two-light casement window in the cellar with a timber lintel.
To the right, there is a lower two-storey brick extension from the 19th century. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
