Description

Ivy House is an early 18th-century house located on the west side of Station Road in Helmdon. Constructed of coursed limestone rubble with brick courses below the eaves, the roof is covered with artificial stone slates, and the ends feature brick stacks on stone bases. The house follows a two-unit plan and has two storeys with an attic. The facade is arranged with a two-window range. It has 3-light casement windows on both the ground and first floors, each with stop-chamfered timber lintels. Quoins are present, and the gables are stone-coped with kneelers. An entrance on the left side has a 20th-century part-glazed door within a moulded wooden surround, a timber lintel, and a straight stone hood supported by timber brackets. The interior was not inspected.
