Description
This water tank, now functioning as a fountain, is located approximately 20 metres east of the centre of the east front of the Manor House in Ashby St. Ledgers. It dates back to 1776 and is made of lead. The tank has an octagonal shape, with each side featuring a scroll frame that includes a mask at the base, which frames two figures on horseback and a sun. In the centre, there is a 19th-century stone figure of a cherub.
