Description

This is a monument dating from around 1907, made of ashlar limestone. It features an octagonal shaft that is decorated with florets and is set on a square base with three octagonal steps. The monument has a foliated and gabled capital adorned with heraldic shields. At the base, there is an inscription dedicated to Charles, the third Baron Chesham, who was killed while hunting with the Pytchley hounds on November 9th, 1907. Surrounding the monument are railings topped with spikes.
