Description
The George Inn is a public house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed lias and features a three-unit plan with a cross wing on the left. The building is two stories high and has a three-window range. On the ground floor, there are three sash windows with glazing bars; the left-hand window has a wood lintel, while the two in the center have flat arches. At the far right, there is a two-light stone mullion window with leaded lights. The first floor has three wood casement windows under wood lintels. The gables are adorned with ashlar parapets and kneelers. There are brick stacks located at the ridge and end of the building. Additionally, there is a single light window with a moulded stone surround and a glazed gallery with leaded lights at the rear.
