Description
No. 7 Brackley Road is a house dating from the late 18th century, with a large addition made in the 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring flared headers, and has a slate roof with brick end stacks. It has a two-unit central staircase plan and is two stories high with a three-window range. The central entrance has a part-glazed three-panel door with a fanlight, set in a pilastered wood surround topped with a straight hood. The ground and first floors have 12-pane sash windows with rendered heads, and there are hollow-chamfered stone eaves.
To the right, the large late 19th-century extension is made of coursed squared limestone with limestone dressings. This extension features a door with a moulded stone surround and a canted bay window to the right. The first floor has plate glass sash windows with stone surrounds. Inside, the house includes moulded plaster cornices and six-panel doors.
