Description
This cottage, likely dating from the 17th century, is attached to the right side of Staverton Manor House. It is constructed from coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, topped with a tile roof and featuring stone stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of four bays, with a gabled bay located second from the right. The entrance is in the right bay and includes a wooden lintel above a plank door. The second bay from the right is covered by ivy, as is a small one-light window in the left bay. The second bay from the left has a three-light casement window with a concrete lintel, while the third bay from the left features a similar window with a wooden lintel. On the first floor, there are two-light casement windows with wooden lintels in the left bay and the second bay from the left. The right side has a three-light stone-mullioned window with a moulded stone hood, which is likely a reused feature. The interior was not inspected. This cottage is included for its group value with the manor house.
