Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a 18th-century cottage located on the south side of Flore High Street. It is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and features a plain tile roof with brick end stacks. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a one-window range. The main front facing Sutton Street includes three-light casements on both the ground and first floors, which are topped with timber lintels. Notable architectural details include a blue brick plinth, quoins, and stone-coped gables with kneelers. There is a modern single-storey extension at the rear that provides the entrance. Inside, the cottage features a stop-chamfered bressumer and one old stud partition. Additionally, there is a stone-flagged cellar that can be accessed by a flight of stone steps. The cottage is included for its group value.
