Description
Bridge number 31, located at the Grand Union Canal, is a road bridge that was likely built around 1815 for the Grand Junction Canal Company. The bridge is constructed of brick and features a single arch. It has parapets with bullnosed brick copings and square piers at both ends topped with ashlar copings. There is a raised brick string course positioned below the parapet. This bridge is included in the listing as a complete example of a canal bridge.
